Ipswitch Adds New Independent Director to the Board

Ipswitch announced the appointment of Robert A. Steinkrauss, a technology executive with more than 35 years of leadership experience, to its board of directors.

Steinkrauss will serve as an independent director, joining fellow board members Roger Greene, Ipswitch founder and chairman, and chief executive officer Joe Krivickas.

For over three decades, Steinkrauss has provided strategic direction, vision and management to a number of successful ventures in the technology industry. Steinkrauss previously served as the president and chief executive officer of Chosen Security, Ingrian Networks Inc., Raptor Systems, and Xedia. He has also served as the managing director of TC TrustCenter GmbH and has been a board director for over 20 companies, both public and private in his career.

Steinkrauss also serves currently as an independent director for Agiliance, Exinda, Sonian, and Xtium. He was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2007 for the Northern California region and in 1997 for the New England Region. A magna cum laude graduate of Boston College, Steinkrauss holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
