Ixia announced the IxFlow App for Splunk Enterprise, which integrates Ixia’s Application and Threat Intelligence (ATI) Processor with Splunk Enterprise.

The app provides IT managers and teams the ability to visualize and analyze user, device and application behaviors. Additionally, the application data that is available can be used to optimize the network’s security and performance.

The Ixia ATI Processor provides deep packet inspection capability with rich layer 7 application, geo-location and device details not typically available from other data sources. In the joint solution, metadata is exported to Splunk Enterprise via Ixia’s NetFlow extensions (IxFlow), and then reported and visualized by the IxFlow application. The ATI Processor is a key component of the intelligence layer of Ixia’s Visibility Architecture and provides complete data access to monitoring and security tools.

Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud enable organizations to collect, index, monitor, analyze and visualize machine data being generated by websites, applications, servers, networks, sensors, mobile devices and more. Customers gain real-time visibility and insights from Splunk Enterprise in multiple use cases including IT operations, application management, security, compliance, digital intelligence and business analytics. More than 500 free apps that work with Splunk Enterprise are available on Splunk Apps, allowing the customer to get the most of the machine data coming from any technology tier.
