SL is starting off the new year with a brand-new hosting platform for free trials of RTView Enterprise Monitor called the RTView Test Drive.

This new 100% hosted offering enables anyone to experience SL’s End-to-End Application Resource Monitoring solution without having to download or install anything. Evaluators will have access to a trial sandbox immediately.

SL provides evaluators with the ability to monitor multiple middleware environments. Users can choose from TIBCO, Oracle, IBM or Solace environments – with more options on the way. Each sandbox contains applications, services, components and related infrastructure found in most application environments.

“We wanted to simplify the whole process so that users could easily experience RTView middleware monitoring and learn at their own pace,” says Ted Wilson, COO at SL. “There is nothing to download and nothing to install and all provisioning is automated so that the experience is turn-key and available instantly on-demand. Users will also have access to guided learning materials like videos, quick start guides, and documentation.”

Test Drivers will experience a pre-populated monitoring environment with applications driven by common middleware and infrastructure components. Users can view health status of high-level applications, services, and component groups and then drill down to discover alerts to identify individual components experiencing performance problems. Users can also explore administrative functions such as alert configuration and threshold modification.

Extending and customizing the Test Drive is easy too. Add more solution packages to monitor the technology you care about. Connect to your own environment with a data collector to view your own data within the Test Drive Sandbox.
