ManageEngine announced significant updates to IT360, its integrated IT management solution. Enhancements include the general availability of an iPad extension, providing customers with the ability to monitor their IT infrastructure from an Apple iPad, including alarms, business services and infrastructure snapshots. IT360 also introduces topology maps and self-diagnostic capabilities.
"Mobile is a key focus area for us at ManageEngine as global trends continue to indicate explosive growth and adoption of mobile devices within enterprises," said Sridhar Iyengar, vice president, product management at ManageEngine. "Our study and analysis of unique visitors accessing ManageEngine product demos using mobile devices has shown an increase of over 600 percent, a clear indication of where the market is headed. Expect to see an increasing number of ManageEngine solutions with comprehensive mobile support in the coming months."
The new IT360 web extension for the iPad lets IT professionals go mobile, extending the single dashboard for real-time monitoring and managing of the enterprise IT infrastructure to include the popular Apple tablet. ManageEngine previewed the new iPad support in February 2012 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Based on popular demand from ManageEngine's enterprise and MSP customers, IT360 now allows users to see a visual representation of their IT infrastructure based on topology maps. The feature is designed using HTML5 technology, ideal for many customers viewing IT360 on their iOS devices.
IT360 also includes a self-diagnostic feature to improve product reliability and help customers significantly reduce downtime. Self-diagnostic tools provide a simple interface to enable users to troubleshoot problems faster so that they no longer have to rely on long and highly technical log files to fix issues.
