Appnomic Systems named Persistent Systems, a provider of outsourced software product development (OPD) services, the first partner in its AppsOne Application Migration Program.
The AppsOne Application Migration Solution combines Appnomic’s AppsOne performance benchmarking and monitoring platform with Persistent Systems’ Cloud Assessment Tool (CAT) and Cloud Migration Tool enabling companies to accelerate Cloud migration and to automate before and after performance benchmarking.
The AppsOne Application Migration integrated solution automates capacity planning and removes risk, while increasing performance predictability and improving Cloud resource utilization.
Persistent Systems’ CAT provides companies with a proven and accurate assessment of which applications are vital to be migrated to the Cloud. Already in use by leading enterprises around the world, CAT automatically extracts available metrics over a four to five week period and defines business heuristics, understands application workload patterns and categorizes applications that can be migrated to the Cloud. Persistent Systems’ Cloud Migration Tool provides an easy, systematic and automated approach for migrating existing virtual machines (VM) from an on-premise virtualization platform to a public infrastructure Cloud provider.
“Appnomic’s AppsOne performance benchmarking and monitoring platform coupled with Persistent Systems’ Cloud Migration Tool integrates two vital components of Cloud migration,” said Ray Solnik, President, Appnomic. “Companies can now make the move to the Cloud with an unprecedented degree of confidence in the value and performance to be achieved upon taking advantage of Cloud computing resources.”
“Persistent’s partnership with Appnomic provides a robust, turnkey assessment and migration solution that helps companies confidently move to the Cloud,” said Shriram Natarajan, Senior Director, Cloud Technology Practice, Persistent Systems. “Companies have expressed their frustration at not being able to gain deep insight into the performance and cost savings they seek from Cloud computing. Together, Persistent and Appnomic have addressed this very problem and have delivered the industry’s first way to automate migration. Our combined team of 300+ Cloud experts is on hand to perform development, integration, or orchestration required to ensure a smooth and successful migration.”
Persistent is the first such provider to leverage AppsOne’s unique functionality to help its customers access, plan, benchmark and execute effective migration to the Cloud.
