Site24x7, a website and web application monitoring service from Zoho Corp., announced the immediate availability of Apdex standardized user experience scores for the websites and applications it monitors.

The new feature gives Site24x7 partners another value-added service they can offer to their end users.

Today’s announcement was made in conjunction with HostingCon 2012, being held July 16-18, 2012, at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Boston. At the show, Site24x7 will be exhibiting in booth 530.

More enterprises today rely on a large number of mission-critical applications for their day-to-day businesses. However, the myriad of extremely technical metrics such as response time, throughput and performance complicate overall application assessment.

Apdex serves as a straightforward performance benchmark for all applications, providing a simple comparison metric to measure the responsiveness of any given application over a period of time.

“We are constantly looking at ways to give our cloud hosting providers and managed service providers new ways to increase the value they bring to their customers,” said Gibu K. Mathew, Director of Product Management at Zoho Corp. “Apdex scores really streamline the job of evaluating and demonstrating overall application performance and end-user satisfaction with an application.”
Refining Site24x7

Used by thousands of customers around the world, Site24x7 helps companies ensure website uptime, diagnose usability problems with web pages, troubleshoot any unplanned downtime quickly with instant alerts, and track website trends with intuitive reports. The latest version of the monitor service includes:

- Apdex scores are compiled from data collected over time and converted into a simple index, based on application responsiveness. Each Apdex score is measured on a scale of 0 to 1, with 1 indicating all the users are satisfied and 0 indicating none are satisfied.

- Agent-based Windows server monitoring has been improved to include admin tools with an MSP-friendly network communication architecture.

Apdex scoring is immediately available for Site24x7 Enterprise account holders only and is included in the price of their subscription.
