Opsview Extends Monitoring of AWS Services

Opsview announced new monitoring capabilities for Amazon Web Services (AWS), including new support for AWS services, coverage of all the latest AWS regions, and tighter integration with AWS CloudWatch.

Tested with AWS and delivered as part of Opsview’s Opspacks for AWS, new capabilities include:

- Monitoring of many popular AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon Route 53, as well as Data Transfer and VPN services

- Support for all AWS regions including the latest Europe (London) and Canada (central) Regions

- Ability to pull required statistics from Amazon CloudWatch, allowing Opsview customers to monitor all AWS services that report to Amazon CloudWatch

- Easy setup – customers simply add AWS access credentials into the Opsview Host settings and start pulling data in

With the latest release of Opspacks for AWS, Opsview customers can more efficiently monitor their AWS services, along with their on-premise infrastructure and applications. Data collected from AWS services feeds Opsview Monitor’s enterprise feature set, including powerful dashboards, reporting, alerting, notifications and Business Service Monitoring (BSM), providing IT teams with one comprehensive view.

Opsview CEO Michael Walton emphasized Opsview’s focus on supporting the full range of technologies and services its customers are using. “Our latest addition to AWS cloud monitoring reinforces our commitment to providing customers with a single solution to monitor their entire infrastructure, cloud services and applications,” said Walton. “Not only does this help increase efficiency, but it helps IT teams make quantifiable service uptime improvements.”

Opspacks for AWS are available now for all users of Opsview Monitor Enterprise, MSP, Pro and Atom Editions.
