Checkmk previewed its upcoming IT monitoring platform update, Checkmk 2.4, scheduled for release in the first half of 2025.

“With Checkmk 2.4, we’re setting the stage for further growth alongside our partners, whose customer support and insights are crucial to our success. Open communication is key to our partnerships, and, as with every release, Checkmk 2.4 reflects our partners’ valuable input and feedback,” said Richard Rinkenburger, VP Sales EMEA.

Key highlights include the Quick Setup and an enhanced Notification System, designed to increase flexibility and simplify the monitoring of complex IT landscapes. The Quick Setup leverages a new UI framework, significantly streamlining complex configuration workflows, as demonstrated in a live setup of AWS monitoring. The updated Notification Hub in Checkmk 2.4 will offer users the choice between a Guided Mode and an Overview Mode, allowing tailored support when setting up notifications.

Another standout feature is the new Distributed Tracing for root-cause performance analysis, which will be exclusively available to Checkmk consultants and trained partners.

Checkmk 2.4 also includes enhancements in Synthetic Monitoring, improved remote site communication, Dynamic Host Management, the Linux Agent’s Non-Root mode, and new Checkmk Cloud (SaaS) features.
