Cherwell Software announced that Craig Baxter has joined the company as Vice President of Product Management, and Josh Caid has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President of Innovation.
Most recently Baxter served as GM for HDI, part of UBM Tech, for over seven years. Prior to that, he served as VP of Application Development at First Data Corporation and provided leadership in software development, product development, and operations. Baxter adds to the ITSM “DNA” at Cherwell and will drive the customer-focused product development for which Cherwell is known.
Caid, a Cherwell veteran since its inception, will increase his focus on product and technology innovation across the company. Under Caid’s leadership of product management, Cherwell was awarded Pink Elephant’s Innovation of the Year. Cherwell’s pace of innovation is rapid, and new features and enhancements are released on a quarterly basis.
“We are pleased to have Craig Baxter join Cherwell and excited for Josh Caid to focus on innovation at Cherwell. Both Craig and Josh bring exceptional experience and represent the core values of Cherwell’s culture: putting customers first, developing innovative products and delivering outstanding customer service.” said Vance Brown, CEO of Cherwell.
“Cherwell’s commitment to customers, while delivering intuitive and powerful solutions, is unrivaled among vendors in the ITSM industry,” said Baxter. “During my tenure at HDI, I spoke with hundreds of IT professionals, and Cherwell is the only ITSM vendor about whom I never heard a negative word spoken. Joining a company like Cherwell, whose values align with those of their customers, is an amazing opportunity.”
"At Cherwell, we have always focused on delivering creative solutions to the problems IT departments face,” said Caid. “I’m excited to dedicate my focus to innovation with Craig Baxter joining the team to lead product management. I am confident that under Craig’s leadership, Cherwell will continue to deliver a best-in-class ITSM solution that is easy to use, configure and customize without limits."
