Dynatrace will be measuring the website performance of tax preparation and related sites leading up to Tax Day on Wednesday, April 15, and will provide a performance analysis of the top and bottom performers.
The sites Dynatrace is monitoring include:
- Top Tax Filing Services: Turbo Tax, H&R Block, TaxACT, eSmart Tax (Liberty Tax Service), TaxSlayer, Jackson Hewitt, One Price Taxes, OLT, Complete Tax (now eSmart Tax), Express Tax Refund and Tax Simple.
- Internal Revenue Service
- United States Postal Service
- State Revenue homepages: California, Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan.
For millions upon millions of Americans, Tax Day can and will be a stressful deadline, and for tax prep websites, the IRS, major states and even the US Post Office, it is a peak traffic day that pushes the capacity, speed and overall performance of their online applications like no other time of the year.
Dynatrace's analysis will provide details on:
- The peak performers and those who just aren't up to the task on Tax Day
- What businesses and government agencies should be doing to prepare for Tax Day
- Top and bottom performers
- Any outages and major site degradations that occurred
- What the top performers did right that made them stand out
- What the bottom performers did (or did not do), and what they need to do to improve their performance
