GroundWork has released GroundWork Cloud Connector for GroundWork Monitor Enterprise 6.4. An automatic, monitoring provisioning system, GroundWork Cloud Connector gives users the ability to monitor Amazon EC2 and Eucalyptus cloud instances right along side traditional data center infrastructures.

GroundWork Cloud Connector features auto-configuration and profile assignment, so as cloud-based machines appear and vanish in your virtual infrastructure, the Cloud Connector updates your monitoring system to cover them.

It is available at no additional cost to existing GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Flex subscribers.

GroundWork Cloud Connector features include:

* Host Profiles: Create host profiles to monitor each type of instance you deploy. Cloud Connector periodically checks the cloud for new instances and applies the right host profiles automatically.

* Alerting: If a host profile becomes unavailable, Cloud Connector will alert your staff when the instances become unavailable or performance falls below the set thresholds.

* Availability Reports: Keeps track of the cloud providers availability and performance, helping you manage relationships with vendors and verify compliance with published SLA’s.

* Synchronization of all monitored clouds: Runs a synchronization script periodically that updates your monitoring system with the current status and configuration of all monitored clouds — this includes monitoring multiple Eucalyptus and Amazon EC2 clouds. In addition to automatically updating host and host groups.
