HelpSystems has acquired Midrange Performance Group (MPG), a company whose solutions enable organizations to optimize their IT environments.
MPG’s expertise and products have been especially popular with IT professionals running IBM i, and the acquisition expands and strengthens HelpSystems capacity planning and monitoring portfolio.
Nearly 1,000 companies rely on Boulder, Colorado-based MPG because of its ability to help precisely size hardware needs, identify performance concerns, and report on critical systems—resulting in more efficient, cost-effective capacity planning.
“Businesses of all types are demanding a more efficient, dynamic, and proactive management of IT resources, and that’s MPG’s sweet spot,” said Chris Heim, CEO, HelpSystems. “By folding these solutions into our growing portfolio for capacity planning and monitoring, together we can deliver on the vision of helping IT professionals support their businesses today and tomorrow.”
Dan Mayleben, CFO, HelpSystems, added: “Their expertise improves our ability to help customers with the growing need of capacity planning, especially on the IBM i platform — to determine how well IT is performing today and what is necessary moving forward to propel business initiatives.”
“Joining forces with HelpSystems is great for MPG customers, partners, and employees,” said Randy Watson, CEO and Founder, MPG. “It fits perfectly with our mission of helping customers get the most from their IT investment.”
