Idera announced the introduction of three new SQL product suites customized and packaged to meet specific job functions of database administrators (DBAs) – including performance, compliance, security and maintenance – at a more affordable price.
In addition to the new product suites, Idera also renamed its SQL Suite to SQL Management Suite.
“Our customers are responsible for maintaining and managing complex SQL environments and we listen to them to ensure our products consistently meet their performance, compliance and administrative needs,” said Randy Jacops, CEO of Idera. “With most customers typically purchasing more than one product, we developed the new SQL Suites to improve the buying process and increase solution value for DBAs.”
Idera’s new SQL Suites bundle similar tools into comprehensive, customized packages, including:
- SQL Management Suite (previously SQL Suite) - Complete SQL Server management. Includes SQL Diagnostic Manager, SQL Compliance Manager, SQL Secure, SQL Safe Backup and SQL Defrag Manager.
- SQL Performance Suite - Improve performance across all SQL Servers. Includes SQL Diagnostic Manager, SQL BI Manager and SQL Enterprise Job Manager.
- SQL Maintenance Suite - Automate SQL Server maintenance and operations. Includes SQL Enterprise Job Manager, SQL Defrag Manager and SQL Safe Backup
- SQL Security Suite - Audit and secure SQL Servers and data. Includes SQL Compliance Manager and SQL Secure.
To strengthen its position in server and infrastructure monitoring, Idera acquired Uptime Software, a move intended to accelerate Idera’s expansion into Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and IT Operations Management, while adding deep SLA management and capacity planning to its solution portfolio.
