Keysight Technologies announced that Ixia, a Keysight Business, and CA Technologies have expanded their long-standing partnership to deliver advanced visibility and analytics for modern networks based on Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI), software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN), and Cloud.
“As businesses become digital, networks need to be more application centric, and business-critical applications need to run seamlessly across any location, vendor and public/private cloud,” said Tim Diep, Senior Director of Product Management, CA Technologies. “The integration with Ixia solutions provides granular packet data that complements our full-stack data sets, which when combined with intelligence from our CA Digital Operational Intelligence, provides customers a fast and fluid platform for assuring quality application and end-user experiences.”
Network Operations and Analytics from CA, which includes CA Performance Management and CA Application Delivery Analysis, combined with Ixia’s proven network visibility solutions for enterprise data centers including 40G bidirectional Cisco Taps, help network operations teams gain access to packet data for full application and network visibility, offering customers:
- Scale and elasticity with access to traffic on Cisco ACI leaf-spine networks at higher data rates (40G/100G) and load balance across multiple CA IT operations monitoring and analytics solutions
- Automation through dynamic filters that are self-maintaining and automatically help ensure that the right data goes to the right monitoring or security solution
- Visibility across cloud platforms with access to traffic in public (AWS, Azure, Google) and private clouds, while filtering unnecessary traffic
- Simplicity with network packet brokers (NPBs) that can decrypt SSL traffic and remove Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) headers and duplicate packets at line rates
- Comprehensive data sets including east-west traffic correlated to fault, SNMP, flow, topology, logs, infrastructure, application performance, user experience, and artificial intelligence for IT operations
“The ability to have full visibility in highly dynamic SDN environments at scale is extremely difficult, yet key to delivering on the promise of application centered data centers.” said Scott Westlake, VP of Business Development at Keysight’s Ixia Solutions Group. “The CA Technologies and Ixia joint solution enables customers to address the complex monitoring challenges of Cisco ACI and cloud environments.”
