AppDynamics, a part of Cisco, announced that its cloud-based application performance management platform has been authorized at the moderate impact level by the FedRAMP Program Management Office (PMO) to sell to government agencies.
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a United States Federal Government program that provides a security and risk assessment framework for cloud service providers (CSPs), enabling US government agencies to securely adopt cloud-based services as part of their ongoing digital transformation and innovation strategies. CSPs authorized by the PMO are required to undergo rigorous compliance checks to ensure they meet and maintain the strict security and data management standards of government agencies. These include:
- A security posture that diligently guards confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.
- Committed incident response resources and plan.
- Rigorous and ongoing security testing.
With this new authorization, AppDynamics can provide its cloud-based application performance management solution to government IT departments. Agencies can now deliver experiences to their constituents and internal users with visibility and insight into mission-critical applications. Digital transformation and cloud adoption initiatives can be accelerated to modernize government IT operations with confidence, saving time and resources typically spent on costly security assessments and managing on-premises deployments.
“This authorization comes during a global health crisis when we are reminded daily of the critical role government agencies play in serving the public through access to key resources and information,” said Ely Greenfield, CTO, AppDynamics. “With FedRAMP authorization, we’re proud to offer government agencies access to the leading application performance management solutions on the market, and ensure the delivery of critical digital services that support constituents across the United States.”
AppDynamics is now available on the FedRAMP marketplace.
