Heroix introduced new productivity and flexibility features for Heroix Longitude 9.0 that will make it easier and faster to see important developments in the IT infrastructure.
Heroix has added a new grouping capability to Longitude, a feature-rich, easy-to-use, affordable monitoring solution that companies use to track the health of their IT infrastructure: multiple operating systems, web servers, databases, messaging and networks.
The new feature allows companies, or individual users, to group what is being monitored based on application, function, geography, business unit, business process or any other criteria. For example, in a health care setting, an administrator might want to group everything dealing with radiology, such as database servers, web servers, physical and virtual infrastructure, desktops, patient registration, insurance billing and more. In another organization, the sales vice president might want to view all IT assets and application components associated with e-commerce.
"This new capability makes it easier and faster to see important developments in the health of an IT infrastructure that may serve one group, division or business unit," said Rick Lane, CEO Heroix. "As a result, the company can correct problems much faster."
In addition, for large companies with hundreds or thousands of devices to monitor, Longitude's new enterprise capability will make changing settings such as notification and thresholds much faster, because these tasks can be done by groups and implemented with a single click of the mouse.
Longitude's new features will provide enterprises with:
- Swift response times to abrupt performance issues or downtime threats.
- Central management of grouped resources and settings for continuous mission-critical monitoring.
- Significant time savings and productivity gains for IT staff and business teams.
- Comprehensive visibility through group reporting.
"As business needs change, we look for ways to help our customers become more agile, meet evolving challenges and improve the efficiency and productivity of their organization," noted Lane. "We are adding these new capabilities to help them meet pressing needs for complete control over IT performance and productivity gains."
The grouping capability is infinite, allowing many options. In a large IT infrastructure, this permits multiple users to view information in ways that make the most sense for their monitoring and reporting needs. Groups can be added, changed or deleted easily, as business or monitoring needs change.
All editions of Heroix Longitude are available on tablets and smartphones, providing on-the-go access to information about critical applications, servers, networks, and virtualized 24x7 environments. Heroix designed its own mobile support capability specifically for Longitude, insuring that it avoids common third-party app problems such as instability or poor coding.
Longitude 9.0 is available now.
