Clustrix, provider of a scale-out database designed to meet the needs of fast growing e-commerce sites, announced the immediate availability of ClustrixDB 6.0. This latest version offers up to a five-time increase in Magento throughput, resulting in a highly responsive and always-on shopping experience even during peak periods.
Version 6.0 is compatible with MySQL and includes unique performance enhancements for Magento Community and Enterprise Editions, supporting hundreds of thousands of customers per hour and an unprecedented 2,000+ active sessions. In addition, built-in fault tolerance and high availability capabilities ensure zero downtime and continuous processing of e-commerce transactions even during hardware failures, both on premise and in the cloud.
With ClustrixDB, e-commerce sites can easily flex up capacity and throughput to keep pace with an ever-increasing and variable volume of customers, products and orders, while reducing the risk of costly slowdowns and outages.
“Our largest customers manage upwards of 170 million products that require constant real-time inventory and pricing updates, and e-commerce retailers of all sizes are already benefiting from the performance and availability that ClustrixDB’s scale-out architecture provides,” said Mike Azevedo, Clustrix CEO. “Version 6.0 builds on these features, offering a scalable solution that ensures zero downtime and provides live reporting of business performance metrics to increase sales opportunities and capture more revenue.”
Highlights of new features in ClustrixDB 6.0:
- Read-query / Write Performance: Provides up to five times more read and write performance than Magento with MySQL.
- Built-in High Availability: Automatically recovers from hardware failures to ensure an always-on shopping experience.
- Workload Management: Prioritizes e-commerce transactions over customer analytics and background housekeeping, guaranteeing e-commerce site customers have the smoothest and fastest experience possible.
- Data Availability: Ensures data is available directly on each database server, improving content load-times and meta-data responsiveness.
