Cherwell Software joined the Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance. This partnership signals Cherwell’s commitment to deliver more tightly integrated solutions with System Center 2012 R2 and other Microsoft products and to offer customers a more unified, comprehensive approach to IT operations management.
Cherwell develops Cherwell Service Management (CSM) which delivers a modern, customer-friendly IT service management solution and Express Software Manager, an IT asset management solution. CSM is the customers’ ITSM solution of choice for the Microsoft platform, with integrations for System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager, System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr), Lync, Outlook, Windows PowerShell, Dynamics, and more. CSM is built on the Microsoft .NET platform, and can be deployed via SaaS or on-premises.
Cherwell’s IT asset management solution, Express Software Manager, integrates with System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr), enabling raw inventory data collected by ConfigMgr to be transformed into intuitive, license-centric reports. With Cherwell Express Software Manager, customers are able to more effectively leverage their investment in ConfigMgr to ensure compliance with license agreements and achieve effective oversight and management of IT assets.
“Many customers, and software vendors, have a vision of comprehensive IT operations management. However, monolithic and expensive ITOM solutions have rarely yielded the results they expect. A better approach is to implement a tailored solution using best-of-breed, tightly integrated components already known to deliver the required functionality and business value. Cherwell is excited to work with Microsoft to integrate Cherwell’s ITSM and ITAM solutions with System Center and with products across the Microsoft platform. It is an ideal partnership for customers who appreciate practical solutions to tough problems,” remarked Craig Harper, President of Cherwell.
“Cherwell solutions complement the capabilities of Microsoft System Center and give customers choices in modern service management that will integrate with cloud, hybrid-cloud and on-premises solutions from Microsoft,” said Michael Leworthy, Group Manager, Enterprise Cloud, Microsoft.
