eG Innovations announced plans for the summer release of its flagship solution, eG Enterprise. New features will provide deeper visibility into the Citrix stack and make it simpler to benchmark performance before and after migration enabling easy, yet powerful comparisons. With performance impact being the biggest concern for Citrix administrators, the summer release of eG Enterprise will enable administrators to more easily identify and fix issues arising from migration.

"Citrix application and desktop virtualization is being deployed to support business-critical applications where even one hour of downtime can be business impacting. In fact, in today's environment, slow performance is the new downtime," said Matt Wrabley, VP of Business Development, eG Innovations. "With the summer release of eG Enterprise, we are providing a broad suite of monitoring and analytics capabilities that will enable Citrix performance management to be done smarter, easier and better."

New features in the upcoming eG Enterprise release include:

- Enhanced visibility and rating of Citrix user experience: The ultimate success of Citrix deployments depends on the user experience. eG Enterprise now integrates with Citrix End User Experience Monitoring capabilities that were hitherto only available through Citrix EdgeSight. This together with monitoring of launch times for applications accessed through Citrix XenApp ensures that administrators now have total visibility into the user experience. Furthermore, eG Enterprise will allow multiple user experience metrics to be combined to report a single user experience rating that will be a benchmark for Citrix performance.

- Enhanced GPU monitoring capabilities: Many Citrix customers are adopting GPU technologies for graphics intensive applications and use cases. Conventional approaches to monitoring server CPU do not provide visibility into GPU performance and utilization. eG Enterprise will now include GPU monitoring and alerting capabilities for Citrix XenServer, Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix XenApp environments.

- Support for XenMobile 10: eG Enterprise was the first to provide deep monitoring and rich analytics for Citrix XenMobile 9. With XenMobile 10, Citrix delivers mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM) and enterprise-grade productivity apps in one comprehensive solution. The new eG Enterprise release will be extended to provide complete performance monitoring, diagnosis and reporting for Citrix XenMobile 10. With eG Enterprise, administrators have 360 degree visibility into every aspect of Citrix XenMobile 10 performance - availability, performance, security and usage.

- Tight integration with Citrix Netscaler Insight Center: Netscaler Insight Center has deep visibility into Citrix HDX channels and accesses to web sites accelerated by Netscaler products. With this release, metrics collected by Netscaler Insight Center will be available through the eG Enterprise console and can be auto-baselined and correlated with other metrics collected by eG Enterprise. Together with the existing integration of eG Enterprise with Citrix Director, this integration ensures that eG Enterprise can provide a single pane of glass with best of breed metrics for every layer, every tier of Citrix and web infrastructures.

- New migration reports: In a recent performance survey, Citrix administrators indicated that performance impact was their biggest concern when migrating from one Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop version to another. eG Enterprise makes it easier for administrators to benchmark performance before a migration and to compare the performance after the migration. Coupled with its in-built deep dive capabilities into operating system, Citrix, infrastructure and storage performance, with the new release, eG Enterprise will make it even easier for administrators to identify and fix issues that may occur during migration.

eG Enterprise v 6.1 will be available in the summer of 2015.
