Zenoss announced Michael Lovell as the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

As CFO for Zenoss, Lovell will join the executive management team and lead Zenoss' finance and accounting operations from the company's headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Lovell brings over 20 years of finance, accounting and operations experience along with a proven track record of leading teams through periods of high growth and developing transformational business strategies for global software-as-a-service (SaaS) and hardware companies.

During Lovell's tenure as CFO at Lifesize, a SaaS-based video collaboration company, he held global responsibility for all finance, accounting, legal, human resources and IT functions. Proving his leadership acumen in his previous role as director of financial planning and analysis, he served an integral role in the successful integration and acquisition by Logitech in 2009. As CFO, he architected the financial and operational strategy that separated the organization from Logitech and transitioned it back to a privately held entity in 2015.

"We are thrilled to have Michael on the team," said Greg Stock, Chairman and CEO of Zenoss. "His extensive financial planning and strategic experience in growth companies — both private and publicly traded — is impressive, and we look forward to leveraging his skills as we expand our direct and channel business. More than that, he embodies Zenoss' core values and strong family culture."

Prior to serving as CFO of Lifesize, Lovell was VP of Finance at Surgient, a provider of SaaS-based virtualization technology. He also served as CFO and VP of Operations of NewportWorks, a provider of voice technology solutions, where he managed the acquisition by First American Title Company. Prior to that, he was CFO of San Francisco-based Grassroots Enterprise, a leading public affairs firm specializing in online communications strategies.

"With the IT monitoring market thriving, this is an exciting time to join Zenoss, and I am thrilled to work alongside such a talented leadership team," Lovell said. "In a space with huge demand from large, global enterprises and service providers, Zenoss is already established as the market leader and is poised for significant growth. I'm truly excited about what's in store for us."
