LiveAction announced the appointment of R. Brooks Borcherding to company president.
Reporting to LiveAction CEO Walter Scott, Borcherding will oversee LiveAction’s go-to-market functions including sales, marketing and the strategic partnership teams. Borcherding brings more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry with a proven track record of executive leadership, global management, direct and channel sales, and leading high growth technology companies.
“Brooks joins LiveAction at a critical point in the company’s evolution, building on our recent expansion in Europe through the acquisition of LivingObjects technology for global service providers and our latest product releases designed to accelerate the value that businesses get from software-defined enterprise networking technology,” said Walter Scott, CEO, LiveAction. “Brooks’ appointment represents an opportunity for growth and development of our existing team complemented by new talent that brings the wisdom of past experiences to the company.”
Most recently, Borcherding was chief revenue officer at Datto, a global provider of backup, recovery and business continuity solutions. At Datto, he led the company through two years of accelerating revenue growth and global expansion leading to a successful sale of the company at the end of 2017. His extensive experience in the networking, cloud, managed services and telecommunications industries includes director of field sales operations at Cisco where he drove the early market adoption of Cisco Unified Communications and Advanced Technologies solutions along with senior leadership positions at NaviSite, Avaya, Lucent Technologies, and Time Warner Cable. He also brings a depth of international experience from leading global teams and living in Europe for almost a decade.
