IGEL is partnering with Login VSI, provider of software solutions to test and actively monitor the performance and availability of virtual desktop environments, including VDI and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS), to deliver Login PI active monitoring functionality via the IGEL OS.
“Today’s businesses are looking for complete solutions that can proactively optimize the end-user computing experience, while offering protection for VDI and DaaS environments,” said Matthias Haas, CTO, IGEL. “We are pleased to be teaming with Login VSI to improve the performance and availability of our mutual customers’ virtual desktop environments. We see the addition of Login PI to the IGEL OS as an important development in our efforts to optimize the endpoint and drive end user productivity.”
Login VSI’s Login PI active monitoring solution uses synthetic users running 24/7, to monitor and to safeguard the optimal performance and availability of your own (or outsourced) virtual desktop infrastructure and associated business applications. Login PI active monitoring is part of the Login VSI Enterprise Edition (EE), the complete solution for proactive end-user experience optimization and protection for VDI and DaaS, and is using the same virtual user technology as the Login VSI load-generator solution.
“Login PI tests, measures, and alerts IT admins on availability and performance changes that affect desktop and application workflows like patient lookups and record updates, as well as latencies that impact end-user experience,” said Blair Parkhill, Director of Products, Login VSI. “Together with IGEL, we are bringing IoT to VDI, through the deployment of our deep application test technology to any location around the world, in a single click. Further, through the combined IGEL and Login VSI solution, organizations are gaining valuable insights on the status of the network and their entire VDI configuration.”
The IGEL and Login VSI solution is currently available to IGEL OS customers as a custom partition, with plans to integrate the solution into the IGEL OS firmware in a future release.
