Paessler AG, a provider of network monitoring solutions, announced the availability of iPRTG v3.0, the latest version of the mobile monitoring app for its PRTG network monitoring solution.
iPRTG enables IT administrators to keep an eye on their networks, and to remotely manage network monitoring tasks, regardless of time or location, by pulling data directly from the PRTG server and displaying it on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Key enhancements to v3.0 include:
- Support for landscape orientation, which lets users rotate their device for a wider, more complete view of graphs, maps and other monitoring data.
- High resolution graphs optimized for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
- Ability to change device settings and sensors directly from within the app.
- A new “Send Email” function, which enables users to open a new window in their device’s native email application with a direct link to a monitoring object in the PRTG web interface. This is particularly useful when an administrator needs to delegate tasks to other team members while on-the-go. Additionally, to ensure nothing slips through the cracks, iPRTG can now be configured to continuously alert the user in case the alarm count of their monitoring setup is greater than zero.
