PagerDuty Launches Incident Urgencies

PagerDuty announced the availability of Incident Urgencies, which empowers companies to centralize all IT systems within PagerDuty to get the fullest picture of system health and proactively improve performance.

Leveraging PagerDuty’s robust workflow engine, incidents of all kinds can be assigned the appropriate severity, allowing IT operations professionals to immediately focus on the right incidents at the right time.

“The demands of today’s customer are increasingly making businesses’ infrastructure more complex, and more systems can lead to more noise for those that maintain them,” said Andrew Miklas, PagerDuty CTO and Co-Founder. “With Incident Urgencies, we’re solving a larger business issue so teams can proactively manage their operations, in addition to decreasing noise for IT ops pros.”

PagerDuty’s Incident Urgencies serve all IT operations models, allowing users a high level of customization by time of day, high or low urgency settings and the ability to postpone a notification for a later time. The new feature ensures that businesses have the appropriate incident response for critical incidents, and it tracks all events for better analytics on their infrastructure.
