SL Corporation announced that version 4.3a of SL-GMS J/Developer and J/Net has been released to support JDK 8.
SL-GMS J/Developer is a Java-based real-time dynamic GUI/HMI development tool for advanced control and monitoring systems and J/Net is its enhanced option for network management.
Initially released in 1998, SL-GMS J/Developer is based on SL’s special visualization and code generation technologies, cultivated over many years in the advanced control and monitoring arena. In over a decade, no others have come close to the size and speed of the Java code that is generated by SL-GMS J/Developer. Many advanced control and monitoring systems worldwide have been web-deployed using SL-GMS J/Developer to provide real-time views internally and externally, and this new release continues to support such development and deployment.
The content-rich and highly interactive GUI/HMI, while light and fast, can easily be edited using SL-GMSDraw and its dynamic behavior can immediately be previewed, enabling rapid prototyping which is independent from its application program. Compact and fast Java code is then generated from SL-GMSDraw editor, and deployed transparently as a Java Web Start application, Java applet, or desktop application. Additionally, custom dynamic graphic objects can be generated to import into the RTView Core Builder, another SL product used for application availability and performance monitoring.
Dynamic graphic models created with SL-GMSDraw can easily be reused among different SL-GMS products – C++, Java and Microsoft .NET-based. Actually, many advanced control systems developed with SL-GMS C++/Developer have been ported to SL-GMS J/Developer.
