TeamQuest is making accurate predictive analytics available to a broader audience with its latest edition of TeamQuest Predictor. This latest release works together with IBM Tivoli Monitoring by helping IT optimally configure infrastructure to reliably handle new applications and tomorrow’s workloads.
TeamQuest Predictor helps businesses avoid IT failure through its mathematical model of queuing which is much more accurate than less sophisticated techniques. The built-in automation and reliable 95% accuracy help IT precisely predict service health across the entire IT environment. This visibility, along with reporting tools such as TeamQuest Surveyor, provides the information necessary for IT and business to optimize IT to assure business success.
“TeamQuest Predictor can tell you what response time to expect if your marketing program is wildly successful or if you consolidate servers,” said TeamQuest Director of Product Management John Miecielica. “Or it can help you find the least expensive configuration needed to meet service levels.”
To create its prediction models TeamQuest Predictor uses baseline measurements, which can now be obtained from IBM Tivoli Monitoring. This brings fast and easy predictive analytics to organizations with Tivoli, without requiring them to install additional agents for obtaining baseline measurements.
The latest software release from TeamQuest includes additional updates across the TeamQuest IT Service Optimization suite. For example, this release includes the ability to collect IBM PowerVM CEC configuration data so that it can be combined with performance data for more comprehensive LPAR analysis and reporting. The release also includes reporting enhancements for TeamQuest Surveyor, such as simplified service-to-storage drill-down analysis and new interactive graphical displays.
