Zenoss announced the release of broad new capabilities for Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments — greatly improving customers' capabilities to predict and mitigate outages in their cloud and hybrid IT environments.
Over 30 percent of the Zenoss customer base utilizes AWS. As such, Zenoss has published several major releases in the past 12 months to keep pace with customer needs as they continue to embrace AWS services as critical pillars of their service delivery models.
The expanded Zenoss capabilities for AWS include:
- Real-time modeling for ad hoc AWS services
- Enhanced autodiscovery
- Event management and monitoring
- Integration of all CloudWatch metrics
- Monitoring of estimated charges for AWS services
- Expense analysis broken down by tag filters and service
Zenoss also announced the availability of its SDITO solution in the AWS Marketplace effective immediately. This greatly increases the speed of delivery for AWS customers — allowing them to purchase immediately through Amazon with Zenoss software appearing as line items in their AWS bills.
"AWS continues to be a dominant force in the IaaS marketplace with upticks in both revenue and market share over the past year," said Mike Lunt, Zenoss VP of Engineering. "The release of these key AWS capabilities ensures that we're the leading provider of Software-Defined IT Operations for these increasingly pervasive cloud and hybrid IT environments."
